About
Jennifer Nevergole
By training and trade, I have been a dancer, a theatre performer, a yoga teacher, a reiki practitioner, a psychotherapist, and a Somatic Experiencing practitioner. I continue to be a student of creative writing, Jungian depth psychology, nervous system support and healing, and the 5Rhythms. Currently, I have a psychotherapy practice in Philadelphia that focuses mostly on relational and developmental trauma using attachment-informed therapy and Somatic Experiencing.
Different from my therapy practice, Soma and the Soul is a place where I can weave together the varied areas of my experience and training to create workshops for others. Some of my most transformative and meaningful experiences have included bringing the body and the soul together to experience an integration of learnings, insights, and revelations in an embodied and fully present way. I am excited to create and hold space for others to join in that process.
I currently live outside Philadelphia, PA, where I enjoy gardening, knitting, learning about ancestry, and walking my dog.
“Just as there are times on a winding walk when you cannot see the road ahead, so too will you lose visibility on your soul’s unfolding. If you can find solace in your surrendering to that groundlessness, there is a pleasure possible in this depth of not-knowing, where creativity can use you as a vessel and, for a moment, you can know real freedom in your acquiescence to the numinous.”
